"The truth is you don't break a bad habit; you replace it with a good one..."
Denis Waitley
Will this be the year? It can be.
This year I'm going to do it. For real this time....
Sound familiar?
It's the start of a new year and you are motivated!
You think to yourself, this is the year I ______________________.
You do the research necessary. Maybe even choose a program for you. One that guarantees success.
January - You're doing it! You're at the gym, you haven't smoked a cigarette, you haven't had a drink....
February - Time at the gym starting to get less and less. Snuck a cigarette here and there. (Bad day at work). But you are not giving up.
March - Money is a little tighter this month. And the snow is getting deeper and deeper. Work is a nightmare. House is a mess.
And just like that, you are back to where you were...
Your Goal was not achieved. But something was....
Evidence.
You now have more EVIDENCE!
You have proof that it is really hard to change, to quit a habit.
That you couldn't do it.
You know that you can and will survive another year with the habit. You've been doing it for years.
The more evidence you have stacked against yourself, the harder it will be to break the habit or create the new one.
Evidence supports and strengthens the beliefs you have about yourself.
You don't really think you can stop or start or change. You can recall every failed attempt. (Negative Evidence)
You really want to be better, but you also know it will be okay if you don't. You can try again when you're in a better place. That's what you did in 2020 and again in 2022 (Negative Evidence)
Even though you really want the change, you can't fully commit because you know that life is unpredicatable and things happen all the time. (Negative Evidence)
Hypnotherapy & Habits
Hypnotherapy is a highly effective tool for breaking old habits and creating new, healthier ones by working with the subconscious mind.
The subconscious holds many of our automatic behaviors, including habits, which are often deeply ingrained.
Because the root causes are targeted, it can offer a more permanent solution than other methods that only address the behavior on a surface level.
