Pain Management  Hypno Analgesia

Pain is not just a physical feeling, it's also how the brain interprets and manages sensations . Hypnosis allows you to alter your perception of the pain, narrow the focus of attention you place on the affliction and modify your level of discomfort. It also can reduce reliance on pain medication

Analgesia is the absence or removal of pain caused by medication or pain reliever. During Hypnotherapy sessions we focus on inducing an analgelisic affect by inserting suggestions of being pain free, having reduced pain, or having increased functioning to help clients reduce pain levels.  Hypnoanalgesia is the pain relief technique used.  You can find many studies that have been conducted on Hypno-analgesia that explains it's effectiveness in treating many types of acute and chronic pain including, but not limited to:

Approximately 70 million adults in the United States live with chronic or high-impact chronic pain. Chronic pain can cause everyday tasks to become difficult.  Maintaining your home, work, socialize, play sports.... becomes exhausting and joyless.  The frequency of activity lessens until you just won't or can't accomplish anything which will eventually lead to a decline in mental health.

Hypnoanalgesia has been shown to have the most positive & significant results. When therapists work on reducing the physical sensation of pain, while building a more positive perception of pain, those who suffer from chronic pain have shown significant improvements.

Studies have shown that 70% of chronic pain patients find their pain and other symptoms are reduced in the short term after Hypnotherapy. While 30% of the patients find these reductions last permanently.
