Hypnosis.....
Hypnosis is a natural, highly-focused state of mind in which the subconscious
mind is free to act without any interference from the conscious mind.
"TRUST YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS. IT KNOWS MORE THAN YOU DO." Milton Erickson
Hypnotherapy is the process of using hypnosis to interact with the subconscious mind to create positive changes in your life.
-------------------------
Being hypnotized is a state of focused attention and receptivity that will induce a deeply relaxed and calm state. Physically, emotionally & mentally.
-------------------------
This hypnotic "trance" state is a natural state that each of us enters at least twice a day. When we are waking up and again falling asleep. The fuzzy, timeless state between dreaming and awake is a trance state.
-------------------------
The goal to achieve while in a hypnotic state is to uncover the root cause of the challenge or issue you are wanting to overcome.
How it all works...
Functions of the Conscious Mind
----------------------------------------------------
The conscious mind is what we'd like to think of as being ourselves. It is our intellect, it is the choices we make every day, it is the things that we are aware of. It is our decision maker.Think of your conscious mind like being on center stage, right in front of the mic, spotlight shining directly on it. A person is a whole stage. Not just the spotlight. The darkened stage in the background are the parts of you that you are not aware of. Your subconcious mind. The spotlight can only illuminate one location of the stage at one time. When we are "awake" or going through our day, all eyes are on our conscious mind. It's in control of our actions. It communicates where we need to go, how to get there, and what we are going to wear.Your subconscious mind holds the cue cards and leads the conscious mind.Your conscious mind has limitations in its abilities. A person can only process a few pieces of information at one time. Maybe 5, or even 6. When more information is presented, it becomes increasingly difficult to recall all the information shared with you. Your focus of attention is limited to how many things you can process at a time.Functions of the subconscious mind
----------------------------------------------------
Many people believe that our subconscious minds are inaccessible and repressed. A dark, scary place containing every painful, regressed experence and thought we've ever had. Well, It's not.The subconscious mind is who we are.
The good and the bad.
When access to our subconscious mind is made, the possiblilities of
change, healing, and improvement are endless.
----------------------------------------------------The subconscious mind can handle millions and millions of pieces of information at the same time. It helps us find solutions to our problems and helps us get through life.Your subconscious mind is responsible for:- Your fight or flight response when danger or an emergency situation is presented.
- Your emotional protection Your subconscious mind can protect you from emotional wounds. Fear of making a mistake or being in an embarrassing situation may prompt your subconscious that protection is needed. The way it may protect you is by giving you the fear to not even attempt the challenge or possible find an excuse to avoid engaging at all. This may be caused by a repressed memory of an event that continues to have a stronghold on you. It is very common that you have no conscious memory of this event. Your subconscious not only saved the memory, it has created a response on how these situations should be dealt with. Keep in mind, when the event first occurred you were likely younger then 8 years old. Your subconscious is relentless when protecting your inner child.
- The subconscious mind runs your body by regulating blood pressure, body temperature, internal organs. The subconscious mind will send automatic internal responses to locations of your body when trauma or injury occurs by releasing certain chemicals & sending signals
- Stores Memory. Every event has been saved. Even if it was completely irrelevant to you, your subconscious tucks it away. Think of your subconscious like a toll camera on the Interstate. It captures a picture of every vehicle as it proceeds under the toll. The subconscious is exactly like that. Constantly taking pictures of every detail throughout our day. Try this.... think of a telephone number. Now, think for a second. Where was that number a moment before you thought about it? It had to be in your mind somewhere. In a fraction of a second, you requested and retrieved that number from your subconscious. With hypnosis you can retrieve memories that will assist in healing or if you lost an item 6 months ago, or maybe 20 years ago. There is no expiration date on the memories in your subconscious. Memory storage begins at birth.
- Our subconscious mind controls our emotional responses. We do not choose consciously how to feel at any given moment . Our emotions are an alert system created by our subconscious when a response to an event is necessary. Your subconscious stores every event that occurs in your life with the emotional response. So when it happens again you are prewired to respond.
- Our core beliefs, values & experiences are developed and stored in our subconscious. The same way it stores memories.
I have witnessed and experienced the withdrawal of a core belief. The words that come to my mind when I think about how I and my clients felt in that moment - PEACEUNDERSTSNDINGFREEDOM!
Imagine where your mind can take you
We will discover & guide you to your own private sanctuary.Where do you feel most at ease? It's okay to close your eyes, take a nice deep breath and see where you end up.In the subconscious mind, you will find:
This is where the root cause of your issue or challenge is exposed.
This is where your true self beliefs are revealed.
This is how you gain understanding.
The intent of the subconsious mind is to drive you away from any situation that can cause you harm or pain and lead you to what will make you happy and feel good.
